Email subscription changes

Starting in July 2021, Google has announced to stop the email subscription service powered by Feedburner. As we know that the "Follow by Email" widget on Blogger is powered by Feedburner which is owned by Google. That means any new post published on Blogger platform after June 2021 (including from this blog) will not be sent to the subscriber's email automatically.

Follow.it Logo

For that reason, I moved the email subscription service on this blog to "Follow.it". Please click the Subscribe menu at the top to proceed. After that, an email will be sent to you asking for confirmation (please check your inbox). This is to ensure that you are the owner of the email and not mistype the email address.

The RSS or Atom feed is still working, so you are still can get update via the feed reader you are using. Hopefully Google is still kind enough to keep it up. Here is the default feed address for this blog:
Atom 1.0 = https://love-ely.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default
RSS 2.0 = https://love-ely.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss

Please let me know in the comments if what I'm doing here doesn't work. Thank you so much to subscribe to this blog.

    1. Hello Novri Yanti, thank you so much and welcome. Hopefully you are enjoy reading this blog. Despite I am an Indonesian blogger and some of my posts are related to Indonesia, but I am surprised that most of my audience was not Indonesian. I just checked the visitors status of this blog in the last 7 days, only 5% come from Indonesia. Seemingly this blog like a foreigner in its own country ;)

    2. Thank you for the warm welcome. No wonder if you have only 5% Indonesian visitor, since it is hard to understand the post if we don't fluent in English. Even me as well, I used google translate sometimes, lol.
Moreover, some people would feel awkward if talk to fellow Indonesians in a foreign language. But the good side, you have loyal visitor from other country.. I can say you are an international blogger.

  8. I prefer to follow a blog by entering the url manually via the blogger reading list because I rarely check email.

    1. That's also a good option. Most RSS reader application can be an option to read the contents of a website / blog.

Condemns the Koran burning plan

Terry Jones, a pastor who leads a tiny church called "The Dove World Outreach Center" in Gainesville, Florida, U.S. plans to burn copies of Koran on September 11, 2010, as reported on New York Times with the title: A Bonfire in Danger of Spreading . The reason of this action is to commemorate the event of terrorist attacks on 9/11. Gosh, for me it's really a crazy plan. I warn you that your plan, if it really happened, will spreading the new tensions around the world and very possibly this event (burns the Quran) could be used by extremists as a justification to act further. I also condemn the creator of a Facebook page titled " International Burn A Koran Day " and urge the owner of Facebook to aware and immediately remove such page because the contents of this page just showing emotional debate, hatred and also stupid. Any negative actions will produce another negative reactions as opposed to you . If we really want to give a small contribution for peace and ha...

Chinese New Year 2560 - Gong Xi Fa Cai

On January 26th 2009 (Indonesian time) the Chinese people around the world celebrate the Chinese New Year 2560th (old enough I think). It's sometimes called the Lunar New Year . Following tradition, at the night one day before the first day of new year, all family members gather together for dinner. The chosen venue usually at the home of the most senior member of the family or at restaurant. After dinner, usually followed by giving the red envelopes ( Hongbao in Mandarin; Angpao in Indonesian) from married couples or the elderly to unmarried juniors, and the junior member give respect by saying the hope for health, happiness, and long-aged to the elderly. Prayer at the temples and visiting the other elderly relatives is the next schedules. In Indonesia, I noted that since the era of President Abdurrahman Wahid (also known as Gus Dur), the Chinese culture such as lion dance (Indonesian called Barongsai), the use of Chinese characters and Chinese red paper lantern for decor...

Mother's job is 24 hours job, not paid, no days off, seldom appreciated, and impossible to resign , but still proud to be a mother. Welcoming Mother's Day on these May, DO NOT send your mother to nursing home. Before you want to do that, hold on! read this first! So... will you like to bring her back to your home-sweet-home for sharing the love, at least for these great moment. It's depend on you. Post Update 1 : Below, I quote a part of comments from LaVonda R. Bailey within this post which I think is her call to us: "... Women and children are always raped, killed and abused as a part of war and history proves this fact to be true. I have a problem with the government dropping bombs on women and children in Pakistan, because those are women who love and care for their children just like I do and it would be wrong for a country to drop bombs on my neighborhood and kill my children and we as women should believe and and work to stop war around the world so another wom...
