Message from hacker

I think, tapping in the cyber world is common, but tapping that conducted by a government to government is a serious matter. Do you agree?

  1. Well Tikno, you know what I'm going to write :): it's serious among friends, protests are in place, asking for explanations is almost mandatory, but let's not pretend spying is one-sided. So, instead of escalating , playing cool is the wiser strategy in my opinion. And, actually I think that official institutions ( secret services) spying on their own countrymen is the by far more serious offence Edward Snowden revealed.

    1. Perhaps, it could be on either side. But unfortunately Australia has been caught.
But anyway, I'm the type that is very respectful of the so-called privacy. I also oppose Internet censorship.
President has playing cool. I think... media is the source of anger with its teasing title and contents.

  2. I agree, particularly when both the countries involved are considered to be friendly neighbours. It is another story if it were between us and our neighbour :-)

Chinese New Year 2560 - Gong Xi Fa Cai

On January 26th 2009 (Indonesian time) the Chinese people around the world celebrate the Chinese New Year 2560th (old enough I think). It's sometimes called the Lunar New Year . Following tradition, at the night one day before the first day of new year, all family members gather together for dinner. The chosen venue usually at the home of the most senior member of the family or at restaurant. After dinner, usually followed by giving the red envelopes ( Hongbao in Mandarin; Angpao in Indonesian) from married couples or the elderly to unmarried juniors, and the junior member give respect by saying the hope for health, happiness, and long-aged to the elderly. Prayer at the temples and visiting the other elderly relatives is the next schedules. In Indonesia, I noted that since the era of President Abdurrahman Wahid (also known as Gus Dur), the Chinese culture such as lion dance (Indonesian called Barongsai), the use of Chinese characters and Chinese red paper lantern for decor...

Good Wish: Lord Krishna's Wisdom on Human Desires and Prayers

Brother Dasanrangarajan has very kind sharing a good contemplation through our discussion on Blogcatalog. I feel good after read it many times. I think, it's good if I share it here. I do not intend to bring you referring to a particular religion / belief, but only want to share the good things. Hopefully you will also feel good with the contemplation below: I asked Lord Krishna to do away with my vices. Krishna said: They are not there for me to take them away. They are there for you to resist them. I asked Lord Krishna to complete my body. Krishna said: Your spirit is complete, your body is only temporary. I asked Lord Krishna to give me patience. Krishna said: Patience is a byproduct (side products) of difficulties. It is not given but learned. I asked Lord Krishna to give me happiness. Krishna said: I give blessings. Happiness depends upon you. I asked Lord Krishna to free me of pain. Krishna said: Suffering makes you go far away from this world and brings you nearer to me. I ...

Messages from golden wedding anniversary

The wedding anniversary was historically derived from Roman Empire tradition, where a husband crown his wife with a silver wreath on their twenty-fifth anniversary, and a gold wreath on their fiftieth anniversary. In the present, generally, it is called the silver wedding anniversary for 25th years of marriage and the golden wedding anniversary for 50th years of marriage. Many people dream of their wedding will be lasting, but many of them also fail. For those of you who dream of it, then there is a philosophical message from a modest golden wedding anniversary, a piece of dialog between MC (Master of Ceremonies) and the bride, as follows: MC: (jokingly) "What is the most annoying thing from your husband?" Bride: "As many as the stars in the sky, unable to count them." MC: (shocked) "Well, but your husband's kindness is also abundant, right?" Bride: "A little, like the sun in the sky." MC: (curious) "Then how could you live with him for ...
