President messages to Australia

The issue of tapping "conducted" by Australia now widespread discussed in Indonesia. Even the Indonesian hacker has reportedly attacked several sites belonging to Australian as countermeasure. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will send a formal letter to Prime Minister Tony Abbott to ask for an official explanation from the Australian government.

While we don't know what exactly the content of the letter, let we see on what Indonesian President had wrote on his official twitter account, as follow :

    Well Tikno, you know what I'm going to write :): it's serious among friends, protests are in place, asking for explanations is almost mandatory, but let's not pretend spying is one-sided. So, instead of escalating , playing cool is the wiser strategy in my opinion. And, actually I think that official institutions ( secret services) spying on their own countrymen is the by far more serious offence Edward Snowden revealed.

      Perhaps, it could be on either side. But unfortunately Australia has been caught.
      But anyway, I'm the type that is very respectful of the so-called privacy. I also oppose Internet censorship.
      President has playing cool. I think... media is the source of anger with its teasing title and contents.

    I agree, particularly when both the countries involved are considered to be friendly neighbours. It is another story if it were between us and our neighbour :-)

Condemns the Koran burning plan

Terry Jones, a pastor who leads a tiny church called "The Dove World Outreach Center" in Gainesville, Florida, U.S. plans to burn copies of Koran on September 11, 2010, as reported on New York Times with the title: A Bonfire in Danger of Spreading . The reason of this action is to commemorate the event of terrorist attacks on 9/11. Gosh, for me it's really a crazy plan. I warn you that your plan, if it really happened, will spreading the new tensions around the world and very possibly this event (burns the Quran) could be used by extremists as a justification to act further. Dam burst tragedy and three important notes

On Friday, March 27, 2009, Situ Gintung dam at Cirendeu, Tangerang, southeast of Jakarta, has broken-down and the water flooded like a small tsunami, washing away cars, houses and settlement area. Ninety nine people were killed and 102 others were missing (update the number of victims from www.kompas.com on Tuesday, March 31, 2009). My condolence for victims and their family. From all of that, there are three important notes that I want to share through this blog. First , it is indeed the embankment that broken-down was caused by excessive debit of water. Situ Gintung levee was originally built under Dutch colonial authorities era, only able to accommodate 1 million cubic of water, while the debit of water before the incident has reached 2 million cubic of water debit.
