Good wish

Brother Dasanrangarajan has very kind sharing a good contemplation through our discussion on Blogcatalog. I feel good after read it many times. I think, it's good if I share it here. I do not intend to bring you referring to a particular religion / belief, but only want to share the good things. Hopefully you will also feel good with the contemplation below:

I asked Lord Krishna to do away with my vices.
Krishna said: They are not there for me to take them away. They are there for you to resist them.

I asked Lord Krishna to complete my body.
Krishna said: Your spirit is complete, your body is only temporary.

I asked Lord Krishna to give me patience.
Krishna said: Patience is a byproduct (side products) of difficulties. It is not given but learned.

I asked Lord Krishna to give me happiness.
Krishna said: I give blessings. Happiness depends upon you.

I asked Lord Krishna to free me of pain.
Krishna said: Suffering makes you go far away from this world and brings you nearer to me.

I asked Lord Krishna to make my spirit grow.
Krishna said: You have to grow by yourself! But I will prune you to make you bear fruit.

I asked Lord Krishna for the things that would make me like life.
Krishna said: I will give you life, so you can enjoy all those things.

I asked Lord Krishna to help me LOVE others, like He loves me.
Krishna said: Ohhh... finally... you got the idea!

In love, harmony, unity
So, let's get together and feel alright.

    Did I grasp the drift of the message if I summarize it as: 'don't look up to heaven for solutions but relate to fellow men and women and take your own responsibility to cope with life'?

    Thank you for appreciating the Words of My Lord Krishna. I'm "hankering" for more peace-loving peoples like Our Brother Tikno and all of you. Together we could make this world a better place to live in. Yes, "Heaven" shouldn't become "cause of calamities". Our Colson also got the point very nicely. I remembered the late Mother Theresa of Kolkatta said something like this. "The starving peoples weren't die because of GOD's will, but because we didn't care about them." The point was similar with Colson's insight.

    JK - You are right. Good or bad is a matter of choice, and its result reflect on who we are.

    Seno - Oh... I also love to his motto: "I love you FULL".

    Amrita - Of course because of God then we are alive. God loves human and already put down His rules in this world, and finally human makes a choice.
    Mother Teresa also said: "Do not wait for leaders, do it alone, person to person"

    Since you write about various religions and philosophy, I am just curious to know , if there is any particular religion you follow?
    Are you a Muslim, Buddhist or Christian?
    I hope you don 't mind me asking. I am just curious because you have good knowledge.

    Amrita - Wouww... you makes me surprised.
    Okay, before marriage, I am Christian (not fanatic). Then I met a woman (now my wife) that I love and she was Buddhist. For you know that inter-religion marriage is not applied in Indonesia. So we have to make a choice and eventually we married in Buddhism. It doesn't matter for me because my family already influenced by Confucius and many relatives are also Buddhist, so I know Buddhism as well.
    I also have many Muslim friends here and often discus with them about religion just to share each other to find the similarity in goal. I also ever live in Bali for nine years where majority are Hindu and I sense so much love and humility in Balinese society.
    Finally I realized that we need love, care each other, respect differences, accepting and be acceptable in a community, with God as our spiritual leader and the way.

Starting on (Indonesia time) 7 August until 14 September 2010 the night entertainment venues (such as pubs, bars, cafes, discotheques, karaoke), massage parlors and whorehouses (brothel) must be closed temporarily almost in most regions in Indonesia. What a PhD mean for you

What is Ph.D.? Yes I know it is a prestigious academic degree. Only that? Hmm... I think NO . It's hard to describe it in words. You better focus on the illustration below: And... the things that made me fall silent is what was said by Matt, below: "If you zoom in on the boundary of human knowledge in the direction of genetics, there's something just outside humanity's reach. Five things I am proud of

I am typing this post while accompanying my baby sleeping at night. Jim Belshaw from Personal Reflections site, as I read on his short profile is a manager, strategic consultant, freelance researcher and social commentator, has asked me to write about 5 things I am proud of.
