WHEN YOU A BABY...
She fed you. As her reply, you spewed out your food and dropped the plate. She bathed and cleaned your body. As her reply..., you always wet the bed. She taught you how to walking. As her reply, you gone when she call you. She taught you A,B,C..1,2,3.. As her reply, the house's wall full of your scratch. She bought you beautiful clothes. As her reply, you dirtied her clothes. She accompanied you went to kindergarten. As her reply, you shouted NO... NO...!! She paid your study expensively. As her reply, you often absent. She forbade you to see the TV show for adult. As her reply, you waiting until she went out.

WHEN YOU BECOME ADULT...
She paid your sweet seventeen party. As her reply, you continued it until daybreak. When she takes you to the school... you felt shy to stop in front of school. She asked when you came late at night. As her reply, "Oh Mom, I already adult now". When you marriage, she support it. As her reply, you rarely visited her. When she has been old and need care, you sent her to old people's home because of troublesome.

And until ONE-DAY... she gone calmly and you remembered beautiful memory and the matters that were not fulfilled yet to her. Will you crying? LATE! She can not sense your love any more, forever!
"Don't cry, my child", she said from heaven.

The Indonesian Independence Day

The Indonesian Declaration of Independence was officially proclaimed at 10.00 a.m. on Friday, August 17, 1945, by our first President, Soekarno. Today, August 17, 2008, Indonesia my beloved country, celebrates the 63rd Independence Day. The official theme from the government was (sorry, i did not translate in English to avoid wrong interpretation):

Dengan Semangat Proklamasi 17 Agustus 1945, Kita Lanjutkan Pembangunan Ekonomi Menuju Peningkatan Kesejahteraan Rakyat, serta Kita Perkuat Ketahanan Nasional Menghadapi Tantangan Global.

The good news at this celebration moment was the country's poverty rate has decreased from 17.7 percent in 2006 to 15.4 percent in March 2008. This was the lowest poverty figure during the last 10 years.

If you was here, you may see various unique races to celebrate it, like: Lomba Panjat Pinang, Lomba Lari Karung, Lomba Makan Kerupuk, etc. Neighborhood associations coordinate special activities for the neighborhood children and may request donations from homeowners to sponsor games and prizes for the children. I think this was good activity to strengthen relations between the neighbors.

Were They Covered by Insurance?

In the 9th anniversary, the company where i worked made various events. One of the agendas that attracted my attention was the social activity to the "Panti Harapan Anak"(in English: orphanage of children hope). Various social problems that caused them living there. Unethical if i say their cause, but i think was similar with in your place. The interesting question is whether they were protected by the insurance, especially the insurance for their life and education.

Did you know, what is my wife said when i showing the photo above? She said "About three years hoped the child from our marriage, and was granted by The God after the 3rd year. They that did not want even fast could, moreover left them alone"

Did you know when i paid the premium of my daughter insurance (child education insurance)? At that time, by joking i asked the insurance agency "Were you interested insuring orphanage children? If yes, according to you whoever had an obligation to pay their insurance premium?” The answer that i received was: "Are you kidding?" (ha..ha..ha.. i laughed to the agent).

Fuel Price Rising = Spring Rolls Cake

On May 24, 2008, the Indonesian government announces the rise of fuel selling price. This caused the demonstration and protest in most places. The price of goods and cost of living increased.
This made my wife, Feli, increasingly determined to sell spring rolls cakes (hmm.. this was his expertise). The main reason was that he wanted to increase family income, for the future. Beforehand, i ever denied her wishes by saying: "Our baby still need your perfect care". But this time, i supported him only with one thought, that is we have to prepare the best future for Ely, our next generation. The reality that could not be ignored that; the best food nutrient and best education are expensive.
Then, what do we want from Ely, our next generation?
We only hoped they will always remember with parents, for the rest of their life. Only that!!!
